He didn’t have to subject himself to this abuse. My latest at The Geller Report: I have never met Donald Trump, and probably never will, but I have known him all my life. He was always part of the media landscape: the billionaire playboy, the scandals, Marla Maples, the bankruptcy, the comic grandiosity, the glamour […]
It’s noteworthy that Bush is speaking out against President Trump, but remained almost completely mum during eight years of Obama. This is because he is an establishment Republican, and the establishment Republicans proved themselves during the 2016 presidential campaign to be partners, colleagues and allies with the Democrats in the Republican establishment, with only Trump […]
Obama’s approval rating nosedives.
Weird, but we don’t ever recall stories about how George W. Bush was left to deal with Bill Clinton’s hangover, especially how Clinton stubbornly refused to deal with the growing threat from Osama bin Laden. Yet five-and-a-half years into Obama’s … Continued
The Left’s obsessive hatred of America and its disastrous consequences for global security.
If there is one thing we can say for certain about the Obama administration, it is that it has redefined foreign policy. Now it is more on the level of foreign non-policy, or perhaps the Hinny Youngman Hour, where every time Barack Obama or his secretaries of state make a public statement, the world’s diplomatic community falls down laughing.
Pragmatically, there is only one thing the USA could do (or should do) about the Ukraine situation. It could stop making public statements that only make the government of the United States appear more naïve. So I think “shut up” is a viable alternative to what we keep hearing in the press —and relevant advice to a government that apparently has forgotten what happened exactly 100 years ago.
I don’t condemn the Ukrainian people for ridding themselves of a Vladimir Putin shill in the form of Viktor Yanukovych. From all I understand about this fellow, he should never have won the 2010 election with 48.95% of the popular vote (See note 1). I just keep wondering why they think the USA offers them any safety. Don’t they realize that we are ourselves on the verge of another civil war?
No, I think the Ukrainian people got themselves into this mess, and they will have to find their own way out of it. And I urge them to stop pleading for assistance from the US because they aren’t going to get it. Besides, appealing to the US and European governments for aid only strengthens Putin’s resolve. So grow up, Ukraine —and do it quickly.
1. There could be a lesson here for all of those Americans who think we need more than two political parties in the United States.
Andrew Klavan’s new pamphlet reveals why the Left owns the culture and how conservatives can take it back.
Hate is the force that gives the Left meaning.
It is the ‘inner struggle’ of Western leaders who keep trying to convince us that violent jihad committed against the West has nothing to do with Islam. George W. Bush said it. British PM David Cameron can’t stop saying it. … Continue reading →
“It’s obvious that Israel wasn’t alone [in killing Arafat]; the US was there. That fool known as [George] Bush took away Yasser Arafat’s protection and gave [Israeli PM] Sharon the green light to liquidate Yasser Arafat.” And if this were … Continue reading →
