As recently as Sept. 2017, the German Interior Ministry reported that 92% of anti-Jewish, anti-Israel offenses in 2017 were committed by right-wing extremists. In fact, the vast majority of them were caused by Muslim immigrants in Germany.
Westfalen-Blatt Now it turns out that the figures blaming the “far-right” for the antisemitic incidents were utterly bogus.
The German government has adopted a bizarre methodology for cataloguing these incidents, one that seems to have been designed deliberately to exculpate Muslims and blame the “far right”.
What is the methodology? Basically, “far right” is the default option. So if there’s an antisemitic incident, the perpetrators aren’t caught, and there are no compelling indications to the contrary, it will automatically be attributed to the “far right”.
In a 2016 survey, Jewish people questioned about verbal and physical attacks against them put “Muslim persons or groups” first as the perpetrators, ahead of “people unknown” or far-right or left groups, In an official survey of Jews in Germany, 81 percent of the attacks and 62 percent of insults had come from Muslims.
It said that xenophobic and antisemitic crimes were generally always assigned to the “politically-motivated right-wing criminality” sphere of action “if no other specific details are apparent” and “no suspects have been identified.” A slogan such as “Juden raus” is generally classified as “far-right” in the statistics, although it is also used in Islamist circles. “This may create in image that is distorted to the right,” write the authors of the expert report.
Benjamin Steinitz, head of research and information center Semitism (RIAS) in Berlin, speaks of a “discrepancy between the perception of the victims of anti-Semitic attacks, insults and abuse and the police statistics.” Steinitz was referring to the newspaper “Die Welt” on the report of the “Independent Expert circle anti-Semitism,” which was presented at the suggestion of the Federal Government in April 2017 scientists.
It states, xenophobic and anti-Semitic crimes would be classified in general continues to the phenomenon area “politically motivated crime law,” “if no other specific recognizable” and “no suspects have become known.” A lettering such as “Jews out” always be placed in the statistics as “right-wing” although’ll also used in Islamist circles. “But that is a distorted picture of the right,” the authors wrote the expert report.
About 200,000 Jews live in Germany, Europe’s third largest community after Britain and France, up from only about 15,000 after the end of the Nazi Third Reich. Germany has taken in more than one million asylum seekers since 2015.
The Times A British teenager who is the grandson of Holocaust survivors has described how he was beaten and abused by Muslim classmates at a leading school in Berlin because he was Jewish.
Ferdinand, 14, who was born in London to a British mother and a German father, told The Sunday Times he feared for his life after being repeatedly kicked and punched by students of Middle Eastern and Turkish origin.
The abuse escalated until he was being beaten daily by a gang of pupils, all of immigrant origin, shouting racial insults. His parents reported the abuse to school authorities, who agreed to act but failed to protect him. They told his parents his tormentors could not be blamed for their actions, which they said were the result of views expressed in their homes.
Ferdinand’s parents moved their son to the Berlin British School. They took the decision in March after a boy beat and began to strangle him, before producing a mock gun and threatening to kill him.
